Sunday Ascent Check-In

Tell me how today landed.

Today’s your first day — the Ascent.

Before we dive into the daily rhythm this week, I want to explain the actual design behind this devotional, because I think it matters that you know the thinking, not just experience it blind.

The 52 weeks are divided into 8 movements. These weren’t pulled from thin air — I built them out of real study, both in modern psychology and theology, mapping the actual steps a person walks from deep depression into real peace and a sense of purpose.

Each movement is a stage, in order, and you move through them the way healing actually happens — not all at once, not randomly, but one true step at a time.

Inside each movement, the weeks carry their own topic. And every week follows the same rhythm, because our days change the way your days change:

Sunday — the Ascent.
Today. A lighter day. Longer reflection, a closing prayer, an easy way in.

Monday through Friday carry the full daily structure — verses, backstory, a devotional thought, a journal prompt, guided questions for the days words don’t come easy, a written prayer, and three life applications.

Saturday — the Selah.
A pause. Not new material — just room to breathe before the week turns over.

That’s the shape of it. Today, I just want you to sit in the Ascent and tell me how it landed.

Take a moment and tell me what today brought to the surface.

If you had to describe today's Ascent in one honest sentence — the kind you'd say to a friend, not write for an audience — what would it be?
No wrong answer here — just tell me honestly.
